Permanent Makeup Aftercare
- Keep the area clean and dry for the first 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, gently cleanse with mild soap and water, then pat dry.
- Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment 1–2 times a day or when the area feels dry.
- Do not pick, scratch, or peel any flaking or scabbing skin.
- Avoid makeup directly on the treated area until healed (about 7–10 days).
- Avoid sweating, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, and hot tubs for 7–10 days.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds while healing.
- void retinol, exfoliating acids, and harsh skincare products near the area during healing.
- Expect peeling or flaking around days 3–7.
- The color will appear darker initially and will soften/fade about 30–40% after healing.
- Full healing takes 4–6 weeks, and a touch-up appointment is recommended to perfect the color and shape.
- Lips: Avoid spicy foods, citrus, and kissing for a few days. Drinking with a straw is recommended at first.
- Eyeliner: Avoid eye makeup for about 7 days and limit contact lens use for the first 24–48 hours if possible.
- Brows: Avoid makeup directly on the brows until healed.
